Barbara Hulanicki OBE
This Polish born, British raised fashion icon described herself as “a natural feminist” in a 2014 interview with The Observer. As the co-founder of BIBA with her late husband, Stephen Fitz-Simon (AKA “Fitz”), Barbara Hulanicki revolutionised design and her followers included Brigitte Bardot, Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Marianne Faithful. She only closed her store once – for Princess Anne – and has designed hotels for Ronnie Wood and Chris Blackwell of Island Records. Hulanicki’s diplomat father was murdered by a Zionist extremist group in 1940 and more recently she stated: “Now whenever I finish something I take some photographs and say ‘goodbye’. When you lose everything, you realise that the only thing you have is what’s in your head”. -
His Highness Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan
This “famed show jumper” began riding at the age of three and competed at the 2010 World Championships aged just 19. He was fourth in the 2011 Pan Arab Games team event with Valentino Balia and hosted the British Polo Day in Abu Dhabi in March 2014. Sheikh Shakhboot aims to represent his nation at the Olympics and believes: “The world is getting smaller and sport is getting bigger all the time. You can get many nationalities in a sport and it is all peaceful. Not so with politics”. -

Republic.org.uk are wrong to attack the travel arrangements of The Prince of Wales
In an image already shared by 1,280 on Facebook, a shameful organisation named the Republic Campaign attacked the travel arrangements of Prince Charles and his wife. We think their comments preposterous and thus make them our Wallies of the Week.
A shameful Facebook post by the Republic Campaign In the post, Republic state:
“In 2011, Charles and Camilla charged the taxpayer £30,000 for a return flight from Clarence House to Balmoral for a private break with no public engagements”.
“Their excuse? Clarence House said that because Charles is ‘always on duty’, travel between his residences is regarded as official expenditure”.
Firstly, it’s news to us that there’s an airport named Clarence House and secondly, how on earth do these imbeciles expect these hardworking royals to travel? On foot?
