Wally of the Week – Max Hammet-Millay

Russian born Max Hammet-Millay has benefitted from all the privileges of being welcomed to Britain; he now wants to pull up the drawbridge and joined the attack on Anna Soubry MP on Monday

In 2000, an infant named Max was plucked from an orphanage in Ulyanovsk in Russia by two gay men from Islington, London. They had already taken another boy, Renat, from the same place two years earlier.

Glenn Hammett and Keith Millay adopted ‘Max Hammett-Millay’ – as he became – and gave him a £23,000 per year education at the DLD College in Westminster. The boy subsequently studied biology at the University of Portsmouth and reportedly now lives in Camden Town, but sadly it seems Hammett and Millay came to regret their decision to bring him to Britain.

    Max Hammett-Millay

In 2017, in an interview for the Daily Mail about his experiences with his two sons, Hammett announced: “There are moments I wish I hadn’t [adopted Max].” He detailed the behavioural problems of both of their sons and yesterday the very same paper revealed: “One of the yobs who called Anna Soubry a ‘Nazi’ and a ‘traitor’ is a private-school educated former Jeremy Corbyn supporter.”

Hammett-Millay, pictures confirm, was indeed amongst the “mob” who surrounded the Conservative MP and Remain supporter on Monday outside the Houses of Parliament and show him wearing a ‘Trump 2020’ baseball cap. He later took to Facebook to share an image of Soubry complete with a drawn-on Hitler moustache but bizarrely, in spite of attending an anti-austerity rally carrying a ‘Jeremy Corbyn for PM’ placard in 2016, has described the Labour leader as a “moron” also.

Plainly Max Hammett-Millay is nothing but a confused, spoilt brat and a wannabe Katie Hopkins. He should calm himself and learn to behave with a little more civility.

Some example of Max Hammett-Millay’s offensive posts from his social media pages follow.

  • Trashbag Theresa

    Trashbag Theresa

Theresa May will likely win today, but, argues Matthew Steeples, the country will be ever poorer as a result

Theresa May is rather like a binbag: Something you want to throw out, but something that once you run out of, you wish you’d crammed in a little more. Equally, like the Duracell Bunny, she’s somebody who just keeps on going: Tell her a meteorite has landed in her garden and she’d deny it, tell her that her that wandering in wheatfields isn’t a wise idea and she’d argue to the contrary.

With odds of 4/6 at Coral of her retaining a mandate of leadership of the Conservative Party this evening, it’s all but certain she’ll win, but that will almost certainly lead to something else: Labour, the Liberal Democrats, the SNP, the DUP and others uniting in an effort to overthrow her by other means.

Mrs May may find solace in the fact that there doesn’t appear to be any other person in her party in a position to take her job, but she should remember this ultimately: All political careers end in failure.

Wally of the Week – Tom Harwood

Petulant child Tom Harwood makes a nuisance of himself on ‘Politics Live’ after previously claiming he can singlehandedly defeat ISIS and making comparison of Brexit to using a condom

“Contraceptives should be used on every conceivable occasion.”

    Spike Milligan, Puckoon (1963)

Former leader of the student wing of Vote Leave Tom Harwood describes himself as being “sometimes on the news” to his 18,900 followers on Twitter, but, in fact, this petulant child just makes a nuisance of himself wherever he goes.

Yesterday, on BBC2’s Politics Live, Harwood had to be told to calm down by the show’s hostess Jo Coburn after he continually interrupted other guests, but elsewhere on YouTube he shares further evidence of his annoying conduct in videos with titles such as: “Amazing facts you won’t believe (and probably shouldn’t).” They are utterly pointless, not at all funny and simply indicative that this brat shouldn’t even be put in charge of a bus ticket.

Wally of the Week – Condom campaigner and Brexiteer Tom Harwood – Petulant child Tom Harwood makes a nuisance of himself on ‘Politics Live’ after previously claiming he can singlehandedly defeat ISIS and making comparison of Brexit to using a condom
Condom kid Tom Harwood came up with the idea of giving out Vote Leave condoms as a marketing strategy to encourage people to vote in support of Brexit

As if it were not odd enough that Harwood pledged to defeat ISIS when he stood to be the NUS delegate for Durham University in 2016 and campaigned for 12 year olds to get the right to vote in 2018, it was his activities at Vote Leave that make him stand out as a total self-serving, self-promoting pillock. Whilst most leave campaigners delivered leaflets (and travelled on that accursed ‘bus of lies’), Harwood took a different approach: He came up with a campaign to give out Vote Leave condoms. Captioned with such messages as “it’s riskier to stay in,” of the reasoning for using such a marketing gimmick, Harwood told The Telegraph:

“[Condoms] are a great and fun way to get people talking/interested.”

“They illustrate that the safer choice is to Vote Leave, allowing Britain to become a global player once again.”

So, there we have it: Brexit, if Tom Harwood is to believed, is nothing but a giant contraceptive and just what a Britain run by a bunch of 12-year old lunatics plainly needs.

  • When Shall We Three Meet Again?

When Shall We Three Meet Again?

As Theresa May hangs on in spite of revolts and defeats, Matthew Steeples asks: ‘How much longer can this kitten heeled harbinger of disaster hang on?’

When shall we three meet again

In thunder, lightning, or in rain?

    Macbeth (I, i, 1-2)

For Theresa May, like buses, defeats come in threes. In spite of wheeling out Andrea ‘Loathsome’ Leadsom – dressed yet again in her pink dominatrix studded leather jacket – to claim that the lousy non-deal the government had negotiated could still proceed, it has now become utterly clear that most MPs and more importantly the public have had enough.

When Shall We Three Meet Again? Theresa May must go now – As Theresa May hangs on in spite of yesterday’s defeats, we ask: ‘How much longer can this kitten heeled harbinger of disaster hang on?’
Andrea Leadsom’s bizarre outfit choice was yet again inspired by both Barbie and Katie Price, whilst Geoffrey Cox simply failed in his quest for divine intervention

Staggering on is all very well, but as Isobel Oakeshott pointed out on the BBC’s Politics Live this morning, Theresa May lost control many months ago. In fact, the minute this delusional woman called a General Election that was neither wanted or required, her cards became marked and her path to failure was confirmed.

Failing to respect the sovereignty of Parliament, however, was truly a stupid move and now, even in the highly, highly unlikely event that she wins on 11th December, Theresa May’s own party is obliged to ditch her. This hectoring vicar’s daughter yesterday failed as a Prime Minister as, in just a couple of hours, thrice she failed in the job’s key role – that of commanding a majority. Now, as the vultures, circle I again suggest it is time for a change of tack: Mrs May must go and she must go now.

    Outside contenders to replace May

    Ruth Davidson

When Shall We Three Meet Again? Theresa May must go now – As Theresa May hangs on in spite of yesterday’s defeats, we ask: ‘How much longer can this kitten heeled harbinger of disaster hang on?’In spite of the fact that she would need to become an MP in order to govern effectively, Ruth Davidson is extremely popular within the party. She speaks a lot of sense and reflects the modern age well.

    Johnny Mercer MP

When Shall We Three Meet Again? Theresa May must go now – As Theresa May hangs on in spite of yesterday’s defeats, we ask: ‘How much longer can this kitten heeled harbinger of disaster hang on?’Sensible and pragmatic, Johnny Mercer could be the Conservatives’ Justin Trudeau. A former army officer and pin-up, here is a man who is a breath of fresh air.

  • Marvelous Melvyn

    Marvelous Melvyn

Veteran political heavyweight Melvyn Bragg lays into Brexit, David Cameron, Jeremy Corbyn and Sir James Dyson

In an interview in The House magazine, Lord Bragg spoke complete sense in condemning the madness of the current British political scene.

    Remarks included:

“I’m looking forward to getting hold of [David Cameron’s] book, I can tell you. Self-serving, and now this swaggering on – ‘I’m very bored, I’d like another job now. Bit bored, so I’d like to be Foreign Secretary’. He ran away. He ran a lousy campaign and then he ran away – he said he’d stay but ran away, he resigned from the Commons – we’ve never heard a pip or a squeak from him. He didn’t go on the Remain march, he didn’t do anything. Cameron could have saved his name by leading the Remain minority. Who the f*** does he think he is?”

“Now, Cameron, with his usual bloody stupidity, should have said ‘it’s got to be at least a 55%’ and so on. But he didn’t think that through because he doesn’t think things through. He is a smarmy PR man.”

“These bunch of squirearchal, hedge funding, over-privileged people who think [Brexit is] going to be okay – it’s going to be okay for them. They’re not going to suffer – not a bit of it. They don’t offer any evidence now. It’s ceased to be a programme or a process, it’s a cult. It’s a bit like the Moonies. They just believe it because they believe because they believe it. Because they are who they are, they think them believing it is significant. No, it isn’t.”

“Their so-called figureheads like [Sir James] Dyson runs away, buggers off – traitorous you could say, in some ways. ‘I’m a big Brexit man’ – as soon as he sees an opportunity, he goes to Singapore. Puts two billion in there when he could have done it here. Isn’t he rich enough? He’s the biggest landowner in the country. How greedy can somebody get?… Horrible… Everything is wrong about it. It speaks to what is wrong about our country. It also has unleashed feelings that are very unpleasant. We were getting on pretty well.”

“I would like for Jeremy Corbyn to go flat out for another referendum and back it and say Remain because that is going to be the way to keep this country prosperous, to keep it tolerant by accepting people who come from other countries instead of setting up a system that repudiates people from other countries. I’d say come off the fence, back Remain and get on with it. His dallying is doing the Labour party no good. They should be streaking away, they should be streaking away. So, that’s disappointing.”

“I was canvassing in Carlisle for the Labour party – you couldn’t believe it really – they were worried about immigration. Nearly ninety per cent of the people in Carlisle had been born in and around Carlisle… but ‘oh, this terrible threat of immigration!’ Why didn’t the Labour party tell people that. Why isn’t the Labour party behind the truth?”

“Forty-eight per cent is not a minority. This country has been built on minorities. The slave trade was abolished because of the minority pegging away. The suffragettes, the trade unions… universal education came in… again and again and again. Minorities turn into majorities quite quickly, especially when they’re right. I won’t go as far as Oscar Wilde, who said that minorities are always right. They’re not always right – but they were in this case.”

All at The Steeple Times today salute Melvyn. His analysis was utterly (sadly) brilliant.

    Brexit Blues

Iain Duncan Smith, Peter Bone, Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg captured looking exasperated; an exact reflection on their beloved Brexit

Summing up the mood of the nation in relation to the blessed mess that is Brexit, this photograph features the most unlikely foursome.

Looking worn out and exasperated and pictured with a ridiculously inane banner reading: “From Project Fear to Project Prosperity,” the picture includes (right to left) politicians Iain Duncan Smith, Peter Bone, Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Jonathan Freedland, in The Guardian, suggests the image has an atmosphere of “shared pain” and “angst.” We’d go further: It simply shows four of the most stupid and out-of-touch men in history.

  • The Gamble of Greig

    The Gamble of Greig

Will  ‘more toff than tough’ Geordie Greig take the ‘Daily Mail’ into the realm of rational? Matthew Steeples suggests that’s as likely as Jacob Rees-Mogg donning a Kappa tracksuit and dancing a jig with Diane Abbott

Yesterday, in an opinion piece for The Guardian, Jane Martinson claimed new editor of the Daily Mail Geordie Greig “finds himself walking on a tightrope” as he juggles keeping Brexiteers, remainers, anti-immigrant readers and his pugnacious proprietor happy.

In her overall observation, Martinson is entirely right. Greig’s arrival marks a major change at the paper in that he comes not from the world of political journalism of his “poisoner in chief” predecessor Paul Dacre, but instead is an Old Etonian who has edited “aristocrat’s favourite” Tatler magazine and written about the life of the louche father of fourteen and “unapologetically self-absorbed” portrait painter Lucian Freud.

Described by The Observer in 2005 as “Britain’s most connected man” and married to a Texan, Greig, in many ways, harks back to the era of David Cameron and George Osborne’s politics. He, like them, lives in Notting Hill, is a “friend” of the “socialite” Oxford-LSE graduate wife of (the Mail’s owner) Viscount Rothermere, Claudia Clemence, and is even credited with persuading the former chancellor’s new boss, Evgeny Lebedev, to buy the Evening Standard in 2009. In this regard, I’d argue, this 57 year old is very much a key component of the establishment elite that is what I like to mockingly term: ‘The Club.’

Greig comes from what can limply be termed “a nicer school of journalism” and despite his grandfather having briefly flirted with the far right when he joined the January Club, “an establishment ginger group for the British Union of Fascists,” he is himself seen to be cultural and no enemy of the postmodern era. This former fashion writer collects works by the pro-Margaret Thatcher, pro-Prince Charles collaborative artists Gilbert & George and supposedly has already “[ripped] out Dacre’s [old fashioned] panelling and chintz office and [brought] in his own [‘Notting Hill Set’ style] soft furnishings.” No doubt, the chattering classes will titter and suggest they come from OKA – the furniture emporium founded by Viscountess Astor (the mother of Samantha Cameron) that was sold to Investindustrial, the owners of Aston Martin, in January this year – but in doing so they have a point: Greig is most definitely more toff than tough.

Whether “mild-mannered… by nature liberal, fiscally conservative” Greig will be able to replace Paul Dacre’s “I give my readers a daily hate” racist, homophobic, philistine, “enemies of the people” agenda at the Mail with something more liberal and tolerant remains to be seen. It does, however, seem as likely as Jacob Rees-Mogg donning a Kappa tracksuit and dancing a jig with Diane Abbott.

  • Beastly Boris

    Beastly Boris

Boris Johnson’s timing of divorce announcement simply confirms that all he cares about is power; he is however the Michael Heseltine of our generation

In 2014, Boris Johnson claimed that “the public don’t care about his extra-marital affairs.” Well, plainly though that may or may not have been case, this devious chameleon-like politician’s wife, Marina Wheeler, felt differently and is divorcing him.

Johnson’s announcement is plainly timed to further his eventual attempt to unseat Theresa May. An individual with loyalty to no one but himself, this “selfish bastard” (as his own daughter allegedly branded him) is however likely to go down in history as yet another case of “he who wields the knife shall never wear the crown.”

Boris Johnson, we predict, will just be remembered as the Michael Heseletine of our generation – but without the principles of that Big Beast. He won’t be able to put a DSMA-Notice on that.

    Borwick is Back

Former Kensington MP Lady Borwick returns to the fray and is branded a #FearlessPillarOfTheCommunity in spite of her bizarre comments linking the Grenfell Tower tragedy and gangs

“Triple dipper” – branded as such because at one time she was paid nearly £100,000 of public money per year as a councillor, Member of Parliament and member of the London Assembly concurrently – Lady Borwick has now bizarrely branded #FearlessPillarOfTheCommunity on Instagram.

No doubt part of an attempt to resurrect her deservedly dented public profile, this former MP for Kensington – once one of the safest Tory seats in the land and a place where previously even a pig in a blue rosette would have easily won – Lady Borwick most recently was criticised for describing survivors of the Grenfell Tower as “rather like gangs.”

In addition, ‘Call Me Victoria’ – whose son The Hon. Thomas Borwick sold an app to the now disgraced election manipulators Cambridge Analytica and was also Vote Leave’s chief technology officer also – it must be remembered went further. She pompously claimed that a “lack of education” among the residents “compounded confusion over circumstances surrounding the fire” and was even condemned as “completely wrong” by her fellow Conservative and council leader, Elizabeth Campbell.

Lady Borwick is, given the evidence, out of touch with the modern electoral landscape and if the Conservative Party are to have any chance of electoral success in Kensington again, they should jolly well send her off back to a safe space where she can happily “tinkle on [her beloved] ivories” in peace.

  • F*** Off Farage

    F*** Off Farage

Nigel Farage’s return to “frontline politics” is going to bring nothing but division and diversion suggests Matthew Steeples

Nigel Farage just can’t help himself: A failed candidate seven times in British Parliament elections and leader of UKIP twice, this bombastic brute is now “returning to frontline politics” in order to “challenge Theresa May’s ‘fraudulent’ Brexit plan.”

A man of contradictions, Farage – who is anti-Prince Charles, pro-Vladimir Putin and in favour of the legalisation of handguns in the UK – wrote of his intentions in this morning’s Daily Telegraph in an article titled: “The time has come to teach the political class a lesson: I’m back fighting for a real Brexit.” In the opinion piece, he remarked:

“Over the last few months, and particularly since the Chequers betrayal, scores of people have stopped me in the street to ask: ‘When are you coming back?’ Well now you have your answer: I’m back.”

“Theresa the Appeaser has produced a set of ideas that are nothing more than a cowardly sell-out. With all this in mind, now is the time for action.”

“It is now beyond doubt that the political class in Westminster and many of their media allies do not accept the EU referendum result. It is equally clear to me that, unless challenged, these anti-democrats will succeed in frustrating the result.”

“Well, I’ve had enough of their lies, deceit and treachery. The time has come to teach them a lesson – one that they will never forget.”

In response to this predictable publicity stunt, James McGrory, of the pro-remain People’s Vote campaign group, told The Guardian:

“Nigel Farage has had more comebacks than Frank Sinatra, just without the success. If he was serious about making a return to frontline politics, he would stand to be an MP. I can only hope that Nigel Farage sticks to the promise he made live on TV to have a people’s vote on the final Brexit deal.”

In reality, all this move shows is that Farage is nothing but self-motivated. In the past I’ve termed him a “man of the elite” but now I’ll go further: Nigel Farage is nothing but a self-serving meddler and yet again – mark my words – the insane nightmare he desires serving up to the British public will fall flat on its face.
