Dmitry Rybolovlev
This billionaire businessman started out in medicine but soon moved into commerce realising that enterprise would better provide for his family. He was imprisoned on falsified charges of contract murder for 11 months in 1996. Subsequently cleared, Rybolovlev then went on to make his fortune in potassium and banking. This divorced father of two has used his fortune to fund the restoration of many of Russia’s churches and also bought Donald Trump’s former residence, The Masion de L’Amitie in Palm Beach, Florida, for $95 million in 2008. This risk taker also parted with another $88 million in December 2011 to purchase New York’s most expensive apartment for his 22-year old daughter. Rybololev’s passions are surfing and 19th and 20th century art. -

The youngest ever student at the Heatherly College of Arts, Peregrine Heathcote has morphed from portrait painting to a focus on something a little more Gatsby-esque. He grew up on Cheyne Walk and now lives in the country with his charming wife, Louise. This Old Harrovian’s stunning paintings hang in some of the finest collections and when he’s not with his easel, Heathcote is either turning his hand to redeveloping properties or collecting clocks. -

“Britain’s ultimate interior designer” is a man of many talents and guises. Haslam flits from party to party by night, but by day writes, edits and designs. He’s performed cabaret at The Savoy and Bellamy’s and interior watercolour renderings by him are held by the Victoria & Albert Museum. This trendsetter’s life is indeed summed up by the title of one of his books: Sheer Opulence. -

Writer, reality star and entrepreneur who is a member of one of Italy’s best known families. He’s a graduate of Fordham University and though perhaps best known for his part in The Bachelor reality series, animals are his passion. His labrador’s skin problems led him to develop a range of pet friendly products named the Royal Treatment and in addition HarperCollins published his first novel, Princess of Nowhere, in December 2010. -
Hugh Warrender
This Old Etonian describes himself on Twitter as an optimist, libertarian and cyclist. Warrender co-founded the Knightsbridge School and has been involved in wealth management and investment banking for several decades. He claims the new club he raised funds for in Mayfair will “put the heart” back into Hertford Street. With him and Robin Birley at the helm, no one is doubting it.
