This talented Finnish Formula One champion is not known for being the most forthcoming interviewee but is the fifth highest paid sportsman in the world with an estimated salary of around £31 million per year. When asked: “How does it feel to drive at 300 km/h?”, Räikkönen responded: “It feels normal”. Of what makes him angry, he told a reporter: “If you keep asking questions like those”. Asked why he didn’t bother to watch a ceremony where Michael Schumacher received a lifetime achievement award on live TV, Räikkönen commented: “I was having a shit”. He believes “Formula One would be a paradise without the media”. -

Thoughts for the year ahead
2013 has not been the best of years. We’ve lost Margaret Thatcher and Sir David Frost and the word “selfie” has entered the Oxford English Dictionary. The economy has not got better – despite the nonsense spouted on the BBC – and the slaying of Private Rigby summed up the very lowest level humanity can reach. (more…)

She’s dated footballer Sol Campbell and hairdresser Nicky Clarke and claims Victoria Beckham as her “BFF”. She is “proud of being British today” and once attempted to text her fellow Dragons’ Den dragon Duncan Bannatyne and “got him confused with Duncan from Blue”. -

This “Hearst with a heart” is a special projects editor at Town & Country magazine and the founder of Friends of Finn, a committee dedicated to stopping the “inhumane treatment of dogs in puppy mills”. A graduate of Fordham University, Amanda Hearst also happens to be the great-granddaughter of the inspiration for Citizen Kane, William Randolph Hearst, and once modeled for Tommy Hilfiger. She loves the ocean, California, the Hearst Ranch Winery and doing good.
