BBC presenter Adrian Chiles’s delight in the simple pleasures of a pint in a park during lockdown reflects how so many feel
Television and radio presenter Adrian Chiles’s relationship with alcohol has been very publicly documented. In August 2018, he presented a BBC Two documentary entitled Drinkers Like Me and “investigated why alcohol had become such a big part of his life.”
At the time Chiles surmised that alcohol was “the only drug you do not have to apologise for taking” and declared he “associated drinking with friendship and good times, as most of us do” according to the Guardian’s Emine Saner. Concluding, the BBC stalwart added: “The advice to ‘drink responsibly’ is the world’s most boring phrase.”
This morning in an opinion piece for the Guardian, Chiles announced: “I am trying to drink less but know a simple pleasure when I see one.” In it, he recounts how his “accidentally on purpose” visit to a pub during the coronavirus lockdown to get a takeaway beer with a friend to drink during a break from the book he is “endeavouring to write… working title: How to Drink Less.”
After consuming a stout on a “rickety bench beneath a low-hanging tree” with “slow reverence,” he “gave thanks for this simple pleasure” and concluded: “I am all for taking alcohol off the pedestal on which it stands for many of us, but this was something special. We talked as we sipped, and then we went home, exemplars of mindful, moderate drinking.” Spot on and cheers!

Michael Barrymore is a coward and a scumbag. That is a fact. He has failed to face Terry Lubbock – the father of an innocent young man murdered in 2001 in his swimming pool by one of seven other people present that fateful night – on television, yet he happily took £60,000 to lackadaisically chit-chat to Piers Morgan about this most serious matter in a totally disgraceful fashion.
Self-absorbed Barrymore, who recently took to Instagram to claim Channel 4 were “parasites” for daring to air Barrymore: The Body in the Pool – a carefully researched documentary about the case of the death of Stuart Lubbock – yesterday again illustrated his vanity by returning to the medium to attempt to revive his deservedly failed career.
In two posts and a live feed, the disgraced former entertainer – best known for rolling around on the floor smashed off his skull with the convicted bigot Marie-Claire, Baroness von Alvensleben – played ‘Strike It Lucky’ with his 19,500 followers. He used the hashtag #stayathome and shamelessly posed smiling as if nothing at all was wrong.
We once again say: A pox on your house Michael Barrymore for not coming clean about what you know about the events at 4 Beaumont Park Drive in Roydon, Harlow on 31st March 2001. Now, Mr Barrymore, finally do the decent thing: Stop playing silly games and start telling the truth.

During the screening of Barrymore: The Body in the Pool, the television personality India Willoughby announced to her 38,000 followers on Twitter: “I find Michael Barrymore as convincing as Prince Andrew.” She was 100% spot on and in the hours prior to the documentary airing, the vile concealer of the truth and disgraced entertainer piled yet more misery on the family of Stuart Lubbock – the victim of murder in his very own swimming pool – by taking to Instagram to pathetically moan that he was getting “bashed” and “bullied” by the media.
Barrymore (born Michael Parker) – a cretin who lied when he claimed he could not swim – went further in his 1:21 minute rant and aside from whingeing that he hadn’t (rightly) been given an advance viewing (since he refused to cooperate with the filming), this tawdry turd of a person delusionally announced:
“The truth is, I’ve always done everything asked of me… Watch the ITV interview with Piers Morgan [for which he was disgustingly paid £60,000]… He left no stone unturned… I have cooperated with everyone [one could add: “Apart from the police and the Lubbock family”] and I have had nothing to do with this [Stuart Lubbock’s death] whatsoever.”

Diddums.Anything but the “mansion” it gets lauded as, 4 Beaumont Park Drive, Roydon, Harlow, Essex, CM19 5HB – The grubby looking pool where one of those present at Michael Barrymore’s after-party of deviants murdered Stuart Lubbock.Michael Barrymore – a man who cannot face people questioning his disgraceful behavior – has blocked both Matthew Steeples and ‘The Steeple Times’ on Twitter.Essex Police is finally doing the decent thing and have issued a reward in conjunction with Crimestoppers to get “the breakthrough that we need” and justice for the Lubbock family.
The bombshell documentary itself was very painstakingly put together over 18 months and is a must watch. Of this well researched television show, on Twitter, one user, Michelle Gladstone, joined the many reacting with fury and remarked: “Watching this program [sic] is making my blood boil. Of those people at the party, at least one of them knows the truth about how Stuart died. How can they live with themselves, keeping the truth from the Lubbock family?” Another, Amanda Clarke, added: “How bloody dare Michael Barrymore blame NHS staff for that poor man’s injuries. Say what happened liar.”
Elsewhere on social media this morning, Barrymore has taken to blocking anyone who dares to question what went on on the 31st March 2001. In doing so this scumbag simply yet again proves himself for exactly what he is: A shameless coward who now jolly well better man-up and answer the most important question of all: “Who present that night murdered Stuart Lubbock?”
Romantic island in Ireland complete with its own castle for sale for just £80,000; there is, of course, a catch
A 0.54 acre island at the southeastern end of Lough Key, near Boyle in County Roscommon is to be sold this December. A castle was built there first in the 12th century and though that was eventually burnt to the ground after being struck by a bolt of lightning, about 200 years ago a “folly house” was constructed in its place by an English family named the Kings.

After far-right Traditional Britain Group is exposed in an ITV documentary, oddball founder and ex-jailbird Gregory Lauder-Frost responds
Last night ITV screened an hour long documentary that “examined the resurgence of the far right in Britain; its expansion on and use of the Internet and social media; the internationalization of the far right with cooperation and contact between groups and individuals on a scale not seen before; the recruiting of more women and young people to different groups, and the impact that this is having on British society.”
In Exposure’s Undercover – Inside Britain’s New Far Right, produced by David Henshaw, not only did several courageous journalists go undercover within far right organisations but one also managed to infiltrate a meeting of the crackpot Traditional Britain Group in Mayfair, London. At that gathering, the compere was heard to suggest that there are “10 million aliens in this country who are ‘producing children all the time’” and referenced the group’s policy of seeking “voluntary repatriation of aliens to their natural homelands.”
In response, Gregory MacLennan Scholey Lauder-Frost (or ‘GLF’ to his mates) – a previous The Steeple Times ‘Moron of the Moment’, a man jailed in 1992 for theft and an individual prone to such remarks as describing Baroness Lawrence OBE, the community relations campaigner and mother of the late Stephen Lawrence, as “no friend of the English people” and “a complete nobody” – issued a statement defending the ragbag organisation he founded in 2001. In it, he branded Hope Not Hate as “far left… communists” and claimed “the TBG does not hate anyone… [but] we would prefer it if they remained at home.”
Elsewhere, in a video shared on YouTube, another farcical fool named Martin Sellner – the leader of the Austrian New Right movement – referenced the Traditional Britain Group’s members as “very British characters” and “patriots.” Plainly, he’s never met the likes of Lauder-Frost and the ‘Half Biscuit’ Viscount St Davids fanBenjamin Duncan.
