  • Judy Finnigan

    Judy Finnigan

Judy FinniganThis former daytime television presenter is now a novelist who somewhat ambitiously compares herself to Dame Daphne du Maurier. Better known collectively with her second husband as just “Richard and Judy”, Judy Finnigan has been beset by rumours about her love of alcohol for many years. She didn’t exactly help put a stop to such by setting up a wine club whilst co-presenting Channel 4’s Richard & Judy show but having retreated to Cornwall to write, she now also “doesn’t want [to hear] comments about her looks anymore”. Here is an example of someone who would do well to follow the mantra of: “If you don’t like the heat, keep off the publicity trail”.

  • Vicky Pryce

    Vicky Pryce

VICKY PRYCE LEAVING HOME TODAYThe former wife of disgraced politician Chris Huhne is herself an embarrassment to womankind. In February 2013, she used her time in a courtroom to rake up unnecessary information about their relationship in an attempt to save herself from jail. Her bitter attempts to blame her ex as a bully and her statement: “If I really wanted to inflict fatal damage on him I could have done something very, very different” show her true character. It’s also ironic that this harpy set up a company aiming to encourage ethical behaviour. The Good Corporation plainly didn’t guide her own morals when it came to speeding offences and for that reason she deserves her sentence.

  • Clare Balding

    Clare Balding

Clare BaldingShe’s been named the “most fascinating person in the public eye” by Tatler and a “21st century role model” by The Telegraph. This superb TV presenter and journalist is also a retired amateur jockey, has beaten thyroid cancer and is in a civil partnership with Alice Arnold, the BBC Radio 4 continuity announcer.

  • Lance Armstrong

    Lance Armstrong

Lance ArmstrongCycling’s former golden boy being exposed as a cheat shocked the world. He summed himself perfectly in a comment to Oprah Winfrey in January 2013: “I look at this clip [of himself] and say ‘Look at this arrogant prick.’“ Many call for him to retire into obscurity but sadly that seems unlikely. Instead, the former boyfriend of Sheryl Crow seems to think he can build a media career. Most of us would rather he’d just cycle off.

  • Liz Jones

    Liz Jones

This mouthpiece was born in Rettendon, Essex in 1958 and vents bile on all manner of subjects. Articles such as: “Why don’t more women moan like me?” and “Liz Jones’ baby craving drove her to steal husband’s sperm in ultimate deception” are frankly illustrative of why she’s so unpopular. After she got banned from the majority of fashion shows and her husband left her, she quit London for Somerset in 2007 to feed organic muesli to the rats in the barns of a 47-acre farm she purchased as her “rural idyll.” That misadventure came to a sticky end in November 2012 after she’d alienated the whole county by calling them, amongst other things, “smelly” and “faintly Amish.” Goodness knows whom she’ll choose to offend next. Phillip Schofield sums her up best: “She is inconsistent, bitter, nasty and unhinged.” Our advice: Just steer well clear of this acid tongued poison pen.

  • Angela Epstein

    Angela Epstein

The Daily Mail is renowned for enthusiastically bashing benefit scroungers but in November 2012, they gave Angela Epstein, whose household income is in excess of £100,000 a year, a platform to bleat that she wasn’t getting enough. This Manchester based mum of four has also penned articles speaking of her pride about driving her brats five minutes down the road to school and boasts that “being in the media puts a girl on the radar.” Epstein makes Samantha Brick seem positively sane and we really hope that someone will just turn this ridiculous woman’s antenna off.

  • Gaby Hinsliff

    Gaby Hinsliff

We’ve got nothing against this respected journalist and writer, but when we heard that the fashion mag Grazia had a “Political Editor at Large” we thought it was April Fool’s Day. Hinsliff also blogs at usedtobesomebody.blogspot.com and states that she resigned as political editor of The Observer to go “in search of a life.” She’s based in Oxfordshire and published her first book, Half A Wife, in 2012. In it, she advises on “how to balance a happy, healthy family life with the demands and rewards of work.” There are plenty out there who ought to pay attention.

  • Kate Mulvey

    Kate Mulvey

Author and journalist Kate Mulvey is an expert on fashion, emotional intelligence and lifestyle. Mulvey’s article about how people reacted to her travelling around London in a pair of pyjamas is the stuff of legends and she is also the co-author of Decades of Beauty, Key Moments in Fashion; Defining Moments in Art and Vintage Fashion. This dynamo’s favourite haunts number the library of the V&A and the Chelsea Arts Club.

  • Jan Moir

    Jan Moir

She called the Olympic women’s road race winner, Marianne Vos: “Some bitch from Holland” and won the Stonewall Bigot of the Year Award after mocking Stephen Gately’s death in 2009. Her poisonous pen was utilised again in August 2012 when she attacked both Anthea Turner and Eva Rausing in the same article. This mouth of the south should be sent to Siberia.
