The final scene of the 1999 film Cruel Intentions sees Reese Witherspoon driving out of New York in a 1956 Jaguar XK140 roadster. At the RM Auctions Hershey sale on 10th October, bidders have a chance to buy an earlier model of this iconic Jaguar classic. (more…)

Not so ‘Dozy Josie’ is a controversial scrounger who landed herself a £4,800 boob job on the NHS. This wannabe glamour model and escort from Leeds has 30,000 followers on Twitter and sold tickets to watch her give birth to her third child in 2014 for a total of £30,000. Makeup caked Cunningham – who is well known for her wonky cleavage – attracted further controversy after stating she’d abort her baby to go on Big Brother and when it was revealed the taxpayer had footed £6,000 in taxi fees per year, she stated “needed them” for the school run. Her reasoning? “If the council think I’m getting a bus, they can think again”. Josie Cunningham’s view on life is simple: “Sticks and stones may break my bones but taxpayers will always fund me”. It’s no wonder The Mirror proclaimed her: “The most hated woman in Britain”. -
Sultan Kösen
A Turkish farmer, Kösen became the world’s tallest man in 2009 at 8’3” and also holds the record for the largest hands at 27.5cm and the largest foot at 36.5cm. He married in October 2013 and stated: “How unfortunate I could not find a suitable girl of my own size”. All he wants now is “a car big enough” to fit into. -
Danny Cipriani
This London born rugby player’s mum learnt ‘The Knowledge’ and worked as a taxi driver so she could send him to a private school. Cipriani has no connection to the restaurant and hotel empire of the same name, but his model girlfriend, Kelly Brook, “sent a message” to him by dining at the London outpost when they split in 2010. After the pair were reunited in the spring of 2013, he was injured after being hit by a bus during a drunken pub crawl in Leeds. Of the incident, he commented: “I can’t believe I am not dead… I am a very lucky boy”. -

I first met the larger than life Bostonian character Robert Troyan (1950 – 2013) with his partner Anthony Feldman in the early 2000s at their impressive apartment in Mayfair. Though I did not come to know them well, I fondly recall a number of evenings that they hosted there planning an event for a charity we were all involved in named Marine Conservation and several dinner parties.
