The costs of policing Julian Assange’s residency at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London soar to beyond £4.2 million
By the time of the first anniversary of Julian Assange’s arrival at the Ecuadorean Embassy in Hans Crescent on 19th June, the cost of policing his “stay” will have come to the astounding sum of over £4,200,000.
He cruises the streets of Knightsbridge and Belgravia in the afternoons and hoots every so often as he drives along. Often spotted puffing away on a cigar, nothing more is known of this diminutive character.
Lady Meyer applies to build a “closet wing”
The wife of the former ambassador Sir Christopher Meyer, once described as “Chanel-clad” by The Telegraph, has applied to The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to build a number of closets at a property she recently purchased just off the Kings Road.

“Made in Chelsea” wins a BAFTA
Made in Chelsea won a BAFTA last night for the Best Reality and Constructed Factual show. Many wondered why.
This old chap wanders the Fulham Road in a seafaring cap and claims to be a “restaurant consultant and promoter of new faces (models and actresses)”. He’s also “writing a biography that will be fascinating to read” and is “recognised by the late Honourable president [sic] of the United States Roland [sic] Regan”. Bonkers.
Famous simply for being thrown out of Waitrose in Kings Road because of his helping hands and also for his daily dance on the steps of Patara in Fulham Road, little else is known about this Chelsea eccentric. Goodness knows what’s hidden inside the flasher mac The Waitrose Clepto generally sports.
“Dinky, danky, doodle, dee, I am a poet and so is she” goes his opening line. This Scot wanders the streets around Chelsea Green selling poems. “I am the magic man”, he often continues and “I could have sex with any woman I wanted” are amongst the other quotes he shares. “Dinky Danky” and his companion, who is generally perched atop of a shopping trolley full of empty beer cans, inject a little joy and laughter into the lives of those that they encounter.
