Gareth Southgate markets his £3.25 million Grade I listed Yorkshire home

Footballers are not generally noted for living in tasteful homes so it is somewhat surprising to find that the former England player turned Middlesborough manager Gareth Southgate’s current home is a Grade I listed “Elizabethan style” hall on the banks of Swinsty Reservoir, nine miles west of Harrogate. He and his wife Alison have owned it since 2006 but have been trying to sell it since June 2013. (more…)

  • Sam Barton (AKA “Britain’s vainest man”)

Sam Barton (AKA “Britain’s vainest man”)

Sam BartonShameless Sam Barton is the male equivalent of Josie Cunningham. Born in 1992, Barton has been given a free £5,000 nose job on the NHS and demanded Botox for life and to have his ears pinned back at the taxpayers’ expense in August 2014. Sutton Coldfield based, this ridiculous leech complains that people stare at him and it “makes [him] sweat a lot through anxiety”. An alternative? Why doesn’t he get sponsored by a deodorant manufacturer? The grandson of Aston Villa’s European Cup winning boss, who has amassed £25,000 of credit card debts in his quest to become “the perfect man”, commented: “I think I am well within my rights to get what I can. If they say no to me I will simply book an appointment the next day to see another doctor. I will get what I can”.

    Angela and Dave Dawes

Dave and Angela DawesThey may have got lucky on the EuroMillions when they won £101 million, but didn’t have much luck after. Mrs Dawes sadly got cancer, the couple fell victim to a hoax email scam and though they moved from a scruffy £70 per week rented flat in Wisbech to a flat in Chelsea Harbour to be close to Mr Dawes’ beloved Chelsea Football Club, their marriage ended in tears and an ex-husband came out of the woodwork to reveal a tale of debts and a disowned son. Mr Dawes rather appropriately has “HATE” tattooed on his knuckles. What a pair.
