Adolfo Orsi, Jr.

Adolfo Orsi, Jr.“One of the biggest important players on the classic car scene”, Adolfo Orsi, Jr. is always clad in a blazer and generally sports a Panama hat. He is charm personified and has a knowledge of automobiles second to none. Orsi’s family owned Maserati from 1937 to 1968 and he now not only writes the annual Classic Car Auction Yearbook but also judges at Pebble Beach, Salon Privé and Villa d’Este. Of buying cars, he once commented: “Never follow any predictions or advice from so-called specialists. Always buy only what you like, and make absolutely certain you’re getting the best quality. A person who buys a classic car that he enjoys, whether driving it or just looking at it, will always find satisfaction. And if the purchase price also turns out to be a good investment, you can feel even greater satisfaction”.
