Alexandra Lebenthal (AKA “The New Queen of Wall Street”)

In her 2010 novel, The Recessionistas, this esteemed Jewish mother of three chronicled the consequences of economic collapse for a wealthy New York investment banker and his socialite wife. Alexandra Lebenthal describes herself as a “finance expert” to her 2,300 followers on Twitter and is president and CEO of Lebenthal & Co. and its multi-family office, Alexandra & James. A graduate of Princeton University, Lebenthal claims to have come from “a storied Wall Street family” and has variously done philanthropic work for The School of American Ballet, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of the City of New York. In 2012, this “natural networker” told Fortune that she “revelled in femininity” and added: “Accessories are my armor [sic]”.

  1. When Americans are pretentiously boring they do it with no aplomb. My idea of hell woud be having to sit next to this ‘esteemed’ woman at a dinner party.

    • Do you think so? And, if you do, do you really think I give a damn?
You are a silly old thing…and probably terribly ugly.

  2. Ha! Actually I’m really quite young, slim and very attractive. My husband adores me and everything in my life is wonderful. I love people like you,so grumpy and negative, always with a nasty comment to hand. Why so horrid Mr W? Lighten up and smell the air! It’s wonderful to be alive is it not?
