As Jack Monroe speaks at a fringe meeting at the Conservative Party conference, she continues to rant and again makes an utter fool of herself
Is there anything that “food-and-politics-gob” Jack Monroe can do gracefully? It seems not. Today, she’s speaking at the Conservative Party conference at a fringe meeting on food banks and, naturally, this foul mouthed freelance writer had to use the run-up to the occasion to let out a rant.
Monroe, who has previously attacked the views of both Jamie Oliver and The Steeple Times, railed against the Conservative Party in a feature on her blog and complained on Twitter about her name not being on an agenda for an Oxfam event at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
It transpires, according to another post on Twitter by a lady named Claire Martin, that it was not the Conservative Party that forgot to mention Monroe but actually Oxfam themselves. Perhaps even they are tired of this loudmouthed menace. Next!
