The Rt. Hon. The Lord Davies of Stamford (AKA Quentin Davies)

Tory turncoat politician The Rt. Hon. The Lord Davies of Stamford (AKA Quentin Davies) – Self-serving Quentin Davies was rewarded with a peerage after defecting to Labour. He is a true example of a turncoat. Baaa!

Self-serving Quentin Davies described Gordon Brown as “extraordinarily incompetent” before defecting to the Labour Party on the night before the then Chancellor became Prime Minister in June 2007. Mocked for claiming expenses to pay for renovations to a bell tower at his 18th century Lincolnshire mansion, Frampton Hall, in 2008, the then Conservative turned Labour Member of Parliament for Grantham and Stamford was also greeted with chants of “baaa!” after he was fined for two charges of animal cruelty having been legally responsible for his farm employees’ failure to feed the sheep on his estate in 1991. Cambridge educated Davies later branded his former master David Cameron as “superficial, unreliable and [having] an apparent lack of any clear convictions” but neglected to provide any analysis of his own qualities as a turncoat. He is now most likely remembered for having a niece who was jailed for stabbing to death a man she had picked up in a bar in Paris in November 2007.
