Older Range Rover Sport models targeted by cannabis growers
Spotted recently by a reader in Parson’s Green in London, a pair of Range Rover Sports are telling of a trend that has spread throughout Britain: Especially prevalent in West Yorkshire – where at least 40 vehicles have been successfully targeted – gangs have been stealing the powerful LED lights from these 4x4s in order to use them to grow cannabis.
The reason that the Sport has been targeted is allegedly because of how simple it is to remove the lights from such vehicles as thieves can supposedly liberate them in as little as 60 seconds.
Many refer to such vehicles as “Chelsea tractors”. Now, alternatively, they could use a different humourous noun for the Range Rover Sport: the “cannabis creator”.
