Judy Taubman (previously Judith Mazor Rounick, née Jehudit Mazor)The widow of the disgraced and briefly jailed owner of Sotheby’s, A. Alfred Taubman (1924 – 2015), found herself back in the news in September 2014 after a very public spat with her stepchildren. New York based Judy Taubman, a former Miss Israel, was locked out of the £5 million Mayfair, London apartment she had shared with her husband in a dispute concerning artworks worth £400,000.

Commenting on the matter, Mrs Taubman, who also previously worked as a receptionist at rival auction house Christie’s, told the Mail Online: “I was married to my husband for 33 years, he will be turning in his grave at how his children are behaving. It’s evil, pure evil… These paintings are not even worth a fraction of my husband’s art collection. It is worth £1 billion, some paintings are worth £100million”.

The daughter of a paste jewellery importer-exporter, Judy Taubman has two children of her own and is regularly spotted on the international social circuit. Her brother, Boaz Mazor, is the sales director of Oscar de la Renta.
