Martin’s Gone Bananas

Yet more proof that the J. D. Wetherspoon pub chain is to be avoided is revealed… Aside from European booze and dogs being banned, you might meet reckless, boozed-up mothers and bigots also

J. D. Wetherspoon, the pub chain owned by the batshit crazy Brexiteer Tim Martin, has done again.

Last year, miserable Martin banned European booze and dogs from his premises and ordered his staff to delete all the firm’s social media profiles. Now, the company has hit the headlines yet again for all the wrong reasons.

Last week, The Sun reported that a “selfish, boozed-up mum” was arrested in a J. D. Wetherspoon bar in Stockton, Durham after leaving her four year old son “sleeping alone at home.” The unnamed woman’s mum had incredulously responded to a text saying she was off to the pub and police responded by “forcing entry” to rescue the little chap.

This morning, the same paper shared further embarrassing revelations about what goes on at the chain with a story about how a customer, Mark D’arcy-Smith, had a banana delivered to his table as part of what he perceived to be a “racist” gesture. Mr. D’arcy-Smith has now reported the matter to the police after the management of the Richmal Crompton in Bromley, Kent claimed “they didn’t see what the issue was.”

  1. Tim Martin is giving customers wines from Australia!!!!!!!!!!! You should be glad he wants to go back to the days of supporting the Empire!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Down Under we don’t want the European muck either!!!!!!!!!!!! As for the customers……… The drunk woman should be put in the stocks and pelted but the banana story is just idiotic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Belt up your borders Britain and chuck out the immigrants —— you won’t regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I hope Tim Martin decides to quit Britain when Brexit gets cancelled. We don’t want his sort here. And look at the kind of people he encourages.

  3. well I may just have to sell my soul to the devil here. I was back in the UK a couple of months back, and I did slip into a Wetherspoons establishment early one morning. I had the English brekky, and it wasn’t too bad, the service seemed okayas well, and there was plenty of tissue in the loo’s. I had never heard of Wetherspoons prior to this, but they seem to be getting a bit of bad press lately.

  4. “… it wasn’t too bad …”

Wow! What an endorsement. You’ve well and truly sold it. I can’t wait to eat there now!
