La Brasserie to offer a menu at 1972 prices on 27th April to mark their 43rd anniversary in business

On the 27th April, La Brasserie is returning to its roots and offering their original food menu at 1972 prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

La Brasserie will offer a menu at 1972 prices on the 27th April 2015

Independently owned and run by proprietor Peter Godwin, this iconic Chelsea institution is regularly lauded by customers old and new and Majid Barka, one of La Brasserie’s senior managers, has been present since day one.

A special menu – available on a first come, first served basis with booking advised – will include dishes such as a prawn cocktail and a coq au vin. Prices will start at £0.25 for starters and £2.50 for a main course. A number of dishes will be priced at £0.43 in honour of the restaurant’s forty-third anniversary.

1972 was the year when the 15 millionth Volkswagen Beetle was produced and it also marked the beginning of the Second Cod War. At La Brasserie, however, 27th April will be all about big hair, platform shoes, fusion rock and Saturday Night Fever: Lulu eat your heart out.
