Airport gin

Airport gin - Nicholas Culpeper London Dry Gin made at Gatwick Airport launched - First gin made in an airport

World’s first gin made in an airport launches at Gatwick

There are gimmicks and there are gimmicks and then there’s airport gin. Just launched to coincide with the opening of a new pub in Gatwick’s north terminal is a new on-site gin distillery producing Nicholas Culpeper London Dry Gin.

The Nicholas Culpeper gin distillery at Gatwick Airport is enclosed within bombproof glass

Produced behind bombproof glass in twelve litre batches, the gin on offer is made in a still called ‘Judith’ that has been named after Culpeper’s fiancée – who was killed when the coach in which she was travelling was struck by lightning – and is priced at £3.95 for a single and £7.50 for a larger measure. Bottles are available to take away for £20 each and hopefully don’t contain any aviation fuel.
