As the annual dog show for MPs is cancelled, perhaps it is time MPs actually did something useful instead – put a stop to the chaos of Brexit

Diddums for expense loving, do nothing useful MPs: The Westminster Dog of the Year show has been cancelled.

This annual outing – which is surprisingly not where they calculate whether Andrea ‘Loathsome’ Leadsom or ‘Dim’ Dianne Abbott is more ugly – of dogs owned by Members of Parliament supposedly cannot go ahead because “concerns about the increase in protests around Parliament.”

In a statement going further, The Kennel Club announced: “The safety of the dogs and the MPs taking part is absolute priority.”

Perhaps now these lazy dimwits could do something useful instead and do some work. Frankly, at this time of absolute chaos in our nation, their dogs are more useful right now than these chocolate teapots.

  2. Rubbish,if you think Democracy has failed in UK,try looking at Syria or China,we are fine and life will go on and get better and I voted remain!Look at Germany and Italy, big problems, honestly look at the arrogance in Brussels,a load of unelected shysters who’ve treated us with contempt and used words like “punishment”,also with colossal pensions paid partly by us,can you imagine how they would treat us if we stayed??,LETS GET OUT,THAT’S DEMOCRACY!!

    • Exactly right, Paul William Taborn! Look how the Euro tanked and what happened in Greece. So glad we were not compatible with the ERM. That saved us. We have funnelled loads of money to the arrogant EU officials for over 40+ years! Giltedged pensions+++. Time to pull up the drawbridge. Not bigotted nor racist just the majority of Englanders wanting out of a club they no longer wish to be a part of.

  3. I agree with Eric, the populace are getting really pissed off with our politicians. As far as I’m concerned they should all be in kennels getting obedience training, and I don’t think that’s being too ruff ruff.

  4. I had lunch with a just retired MEP. Over some wine he regaled me stories of largesse in Brussels. He told me he knew of MEP’s who had so finessed the system that they were picking up €250,000 a year. Evidently, MEP’s from the poor countries were sleeping in their offices to boost ex’s.
