Sally Farmiloe-Neville (1954 – 2014)

This Hampshire born actress, model and author embodied the spirit of a true trooper. Having starred in the 1980s drama series Howards’ Way, Farmiloe-Neville made her name organising fundraisers for both the Conservatives and charities and did so with a panache second to none. She did not allow an affair with Jeffrey Archer to shape her and as a caring mother to daughter Jade, stepson Alistair and adopted daughter Kat, lived happily with her husband Jeremy Neville, a chartered surveyor, in Baron’s Court. Having sadly lost her long battle with breast cancer, Sally Farmiloe-Neville’s arrival will now mean heaven will forever be a none stop party.

  1. So sad, I met Sally many times at the Royal Marsden whilst my sister Siobhan was receiving treatment for her cancer. Sally was always positive & strong , such an inspiration. Always glamorous too! A truly lovely lady, rest in peace xx

  2. Congratulations to the editor of this publication. A proper account of a remarkable lady. Sally was beautiful, elegant, graceful, witty, scintillating, multi-talented and above all a kind soul. An accomplished and prolific writer, actress, model and presenter who worked regularly in the entertainment industry. Sally was a member of MENSA and a MENSA Business Woman of the Year. A keen charity fundraiser Sally raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for her charities. Extremely family orientated, an adoring parent and a loyal friend.

  3. Sally Farmiloe-Neville’s death last week was a surprise, even though she had (in a characteristically forthright manner) announced she had terminal cancer some months ago. She fought the disease with bravery and a continued zest-for-life, with the unwavering support of her husband Jeremy and Jade her delightful daughter.
Sally was always radiant and glamorous. Even when it seemed unfashionable to be so glitzy, begowned, bejewelled and showy. She could play the bubbly, ditzy blonde to perfection – when it suited her. But behind the face that the cameras always zoomed in on was a keen political brain and a calculating I.Q. that was recognised by MENSA.
I think I probably went to more parties with Sally than any other of my lady friends. In the days we both wrote for Georgina Bruni’s HOT GOSSIP. (I was the SOCIAL SCENE editor, Sally the editor of FASHION). Sally ensured that such events were fun, even when often populated by raddled ‘Z’ listers, hopeful hookers and louche, Arthur Daley-like spivs. She always brought a touch of class and infectious humour to the occasion.
She will not easily be forgotten and my condolences are with Jeremy and Jade.
