Wacky Leeds born actor Geoffrey Bayldon was best known for playing Catweazle in the 1970s series of the same name as the Crowman in Worzel Gummidge. 1. I remember seeing this old nut on the King’s Road many times. He always made people laugh and smile. Geoffrey will be missed by many.

  2. I would have love to have bumped in to him along the Kings Road, the guy was a legend, so many happy memories of him from the 70’s. RIP Geoffrey.

  3. As a child I always found him creepy. But perhaps some of your regular readers actually knew him, and can disabuse me of my negative thoughts by telling me what a charming old soul he was.
