Dame Norma Major DBE

Norma MajorHer husband may have been minor as Prime Minister but she is definitely a star. She put up with John Major’s dalliances with Edwina Currie and “kept a low profile” whilst her husband ran the country. Norma Major is thought of as “strong willed” and was rightly made a Dame Commander of the British Empire in her own right.

  1. I am sorry, but for the life of me I cannot understand why being the wife of one of our most useless PM’s entitles you to a DBE.

  2. John Major was much maligned as PM. In reality,he did a very good job in trying circumstance with a tiny minority and he kept the cunt Blair and his minions out for a while. Good piece on him today Times.

  3. I remember meeting him many years ago when he was a PR man at Standard Chartered. If anyone had told me then he would, one day, be Prime Minister of this once great country I would have eaten my hat.
Nice, but quite ineffectual. But nice men are not what was needed was needed. What was needed at the time was a right wing Bob Crowe…..then the working class vote would have come our way.
