Will Davidson keep on performing?

Jim Davidson bailed until July

Comedian Jim Davidson has been rebailed until an unspecified date in July today over alleged sex offences covered by Operation Yewtree today.

Davidson, aged 59, is one of 12 men arrested in the wake of the investigation into the activities of Jimmy Savile. He vehemently denies the allegations that involve “several women” and date back some 35 years.

Comedian Jim Davidson

Henri Brandman, Mr Davidson’s solicitor, stated:

“Jim continues to vigorously deny the allegations and is helping the police as fully as possible in their inquiries. He has not, of course, been charged with any offence”.

On a separate but not unconnected note, Davidson posted the comment: “What the F……..” in relation to the arrest of Jimmy Tarbuck earlier this week on 7th May.

In another posting twelve days ago, Davidson placed emphasis on his determination to fight the allegations against him and to carry on performing:

“Do you know who I feel sorry for? The Police. We have the best Police force money can buy (perhaps not the right term) but I know the public are getting fed up, but these allegations must be investigated no matter how silly they appear. I know from the messages I get that the public have lost faith in what  was once  an attempt to arrest pedophiles [sic] has turned into a celebrity witch hunt. The Police have been kind and courteous to me. They must know that these accusations are things that can literally ruin peoples lives. My life is on hold,so is that of my wife. It is as Max says, “a nightmare”, it really is. I have to shake my head and ask is this really happening? Well, it is! The only good thing is that I know I am innocent, and that is a powerful weapon to have. It’s still is upsetting though. You have to be strong and wait for the game to play out”.

“Thank God for My Wife and my family, friends and my Fans…Oh  and a good legal team!! … I will still keep performing for as long as you still want to come and see me”.

Given today’s developments, one would think that Mr Davidson will quite possibly have a change of heart.
