Wally of the Week: The Voice of a Harridan - Charlotte Church

Multi-millionairess turned raving harridan Charlotte Church ridiculously takes to the streets to protest against the democratically elected Conservative government

Charlotte Church – once described as the “Voice of an Angel” – is now better known for falling out of nightclubs in drunken stupors and whinging about intrusions into her ‘private life’ at the Leveson Inquiry. On Saturday, this Welsh singer added another embarrassing moment to her roster of ridiculousness when she took to the streets of Cardiff to protest against the newly elected Conservative government.

Charlotte Church is plainly a very angry young woman
But she is also an individual who is far from refined

Multi-millionairess Church, who carried a placard that read: “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more”, addressed a crowd of 200 protestors and announced:

“The politics of fear is the politics of control and we’ve given the reins to the bogey men. Feel like vomming [sic] my heart out… Oh wait that would mean I could join the Conservative Party”.

“This is a government that does not care about its people and is only interested in cosying up to big business. We have already drawn up a list of areas where cuts could be made. All are controversial”.

“Abolishing statutory maternity pay, making it hard for people with illnesses to get help, making it impossible for those under 25 to receive virtually any benefits whatsoever”.

Miss Church’s deep, personal loathing of those linked to David Cameron – including such figures as Rebekah Brooks – undoubtedly encouraged her to rant and rave today. The public, however, saw through the irrational actions of this hypocritical harridan and for that reason we make her our Wally of the Week.
