Whinging couple who were taken off a flight for being disruptive and drunk rightly get their compensation cancelled
“Boozed-up” engineer Paul Dempsey and his hairdresser partner Victoria Parker got taken off a BA flight from Naxos, Greece for getting smashed on wine and ouzo.
In spite of admitting to being a “bit squiffy” (for which they blamed sitting in the sun), the couple complained and were issued with £300 compensation and an apology.
For this shameless pair, that was ludicrously not enough. “Raging Victoria,” according to The Sun, wanted more and demanded £700 instead. Rightly, in response, BA probed the matter and then decided the original £300 had been sent in error. The vouchers were then cancelled and now Dempsey and Parker are yet again whining.
In comments to the paper, Parker moaned: “I don’t believe what they are saying, it is totally outrageous and none of it makes sense. BA [called] to say the vouchers were no longer valid and the real reason we were kicked off the plane was because we were both disruptive… It really spoiled the holiday.”
BA should, in our view, have gone further: Paul Dempsey and Victoria Parker deserve banning from the skies.
