National Lottery make a cringeworthy advert featuring Piers Morgan as part of their #PleaseNotThem promotion

Not content with having faked photographs of soldiers and endangered lives whilst editor of The Mirror, the egomaniac Piers Morgan recently filmed an advertisement for the National Lottery in which he shared his dream of having a theme park built in his honour.

Piers Morgan would build a pier in honour of himself if he were to win the National Lottery

In the 2:03 short, Morgan – who was described by Lord Leveson as “utterly unpersuasive” as a witness in the phone hacking inquiry and as someone “sufficiently unembarrassed by what was criminal behaviour that he was prepared to joke about it” – stands on Camber Sands detailing what “Piers’ Pier” would consist of and sharing with advisors his concept. Of it, Jeremy Clarkson, Kelsey Grammar and Madonna’s dearest friend remarks:

“My dream is to build a monument to one of Britain’s favourite sons: Me… What we need to do is clear the landscape so that the one thing that you get when you get here is my gigantic head”.

Filmed as a promotion for the National Lottery’s #PleaseNotThem promotion, Morgan’s idea has about as much appeal as he did to American viewers. May it never come to fruition.
