President-elect Donald Trump stoops to flogging Christmas tat
Everyone gets given Christmas gifts they don’t like by, amongst others, well meaning grannies and aunts with bad taste. They end up at the back of a cupboard or re-gifted (sometimes embarrassingly to the very person they came from) but now Donald Trump is offering the chance for you to share something especially naff.
In an email from some devotee named Alex, who describes herself as the “Trump Store Manager”, “friends” are offered “just the gift for you and every President-elect Trump fan on your Christmas list” in the form of a “collectible Make America Great Again Christmas ornament in the shape of the classic red MAGA hat, finished with 14k gold”.
Utterly hideous and created because “President-elect Trump loves Christmas and makes a point of proudly saying ‘Merry Christmas’ every chance he gets”, this tawdry piece of tat will set you back £120 ($149, €141 or درهم547). We’d rather be given a comedy jumper.
