Randy Rob Must NOT Return

Randy Rob Roberts MP

Nikolay Kalinin suggests that 12 weeks suspension is far from enough for serial sex pest ‘Randy Rob’ Roberts MP

As Prince Andrew is being forced to acknowledge that his palace walls won’t save him from the legal papers regarding a sexual assault lawsuit against him, another man of questionable morality is jumping up and down in happiness upon realisation that his career is not yet over: Rob Roberts.

The Delyn MP had been forced out of Parliament for 6 weeks after sexual assault allegations, was stripped of his status as MP, and upon return was instantly condemned and faced repeated calls to resign. Now, it’s been confirmed that he’ll be suspended from the Conservative party for 12 weeks.

Following his suspension, ‘Randy Rob’ will continue to sit as an independent MP, although he will remain on Tory benches and will become a full party member again.

Unsurprisingly, Roberts’ victim was abashed by the news, telling BBC News: “It’s disconcerting that someone who has caused so much concern amongst younger members of the party should be allowed to continue their membership and potentially continue to have access to other young members in the future.”

It is abhorrent in my opinion that no one in the Standards Committee thought that a recall petition should be called, because I’m pretty sure Robert’s constituents would want to have a say when it comes to deciding the future of their MP who can’t restrain himself from childish and creepy behaviour.

Then again, what can we expect from a party that wouldn’t get rid of Priti Patel and sex maniac Stephen Crabb? At this point, the word ‘Tory’ is becoming a byword for an absolute lack of decency, and we must not let the government forget that.

Roberts was deservedly slammed in June 2020 after it was revealed that he texted a young female aide on WhatsApp and remarked: “Just thought we could have some fun maybe, no strings. Will leave it with you. I might be gay but I enjoy … fun times.”
