Mapping anarchy

Anarchists issue a map of the corporations, individuals and places in Central London that they view to be the “hiding places of power”

“Activists and agitators” Stop G8 UK have published a map of those they think should be targeted in London’s West End.

The organisation, which has just 644 followers on Twitter, has a mission statement that reads as follows:

“We support diversity of tactics”.

“We are openly anti-capitalist”.

“We aim to make decisions by consensus”.

Their map, which gives the full postal addresses of 100 “hiding places of power” includes a bizarre mix that numbers the Carlyle Group, Coutts, Annabel’s and Mahiki. Sotheby’s is described as being “complicit in Israeli war crimes” and Fortnum & Mason is listed as a “supermarket of the ruling class for over 300 years and [a] tax dodger extraordinaire”.

The group also especially dislike Tramp nightclub in Jermyn Street. They refer to it as a “drinking den for minor royals and other eurotrash [sic] coke-heads”.

We at The Steeple Times have no problem with legitimate protest but frankly, half of the “targets” listed are just ludicrous. Next!
