Now ex-MP for Kensington Emma Dent Coad’s rant in the Huffington Post shows her for what she truly is – nothing but bonkers
On Friday, in the wake of her defeat in Kensington by 150 votes, royal hater and ex-Labour MP Emma Dent Coad wrote an opinion piece for the Huffington Post moaning about how she was the victim of “dishonesty” by her opponents, the now Tory MP Felicity ‘Call Me Flicka’ Buchan and the Liberal Democrat candidate Sam Gyimah.
In it, Dent Coad – who also wrongly called out the result on the BBC prior to the count being completed – pompously stated: “I am all but incapable of lying” and suggested her loss was a “disaster for my neighbours.” She made petty reference to being called a “smirking Marxist’ and “hard left Corbynista” and again referenced how she’s reported Gyimah – whom she childishly mocked elsewhere as being part of the “FibDems” – to the police.
“I’m cuddly left” this did nothing much for her remain supporting former constituents continued before concluding: “In Kensington, the campaign was from the outset nasty, brutal and dishonest.” We say: Emma Dent Coad deservedly got turfed out. This lily-livered, self-declared “Labour rose with thorns” should now join Lady Borwick and fade into obscurity.
