Mayfair based doctor put on trial for historic abuse
An 80-year-old Mayfair resident has been put on trial for abusing patients as young as 14 at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital between 1978 and 1994.
Dr Ariel Lant is alleged to have molested three men and one boy and is charged with five counts of indecent assault on the men and one on the boy.
Lant, who previously was the subject of a GMC hearing with regard to misconduct in 2005, denies the charges and has been released on conditional bail. He will next appear in court on 10th October.
