Caught On Camera In Chelsea

Caught On Camera In Chelsea – Percy Bass and Onslows, Chelsea, SW3 – Chelsea businesses take to naming and shaming local thieves.

Chelsea businesses take to naming and shaming local thieves

Two Chelsea businesses sick of thievery in and around their premises have taken the decision to warn others and shame those that have targeted them.

“Serial thief” Austin Caballero (right) stole over £100,000 of jewellery, designer clothing, handbags, high-end cosmetics, sunglasses and antiques from shops in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Camden. This scammer was eventually jailed for nearly four years.
The window of Onslows estate agents now carries a message warning plant thieves to keep clear.

In Walton Street, the owners of the charming interiors store Percy Bass display a wall with pictures of local thieves caught on CCTV.  Plainly exasperated at the crime wave that has hit the area, the images include those of two cowardly men who liked to help themselves whilst elsewhere in Radnor Walk, Onslows estate agency now display a notice in their window. It reads:

“Dear Plant Thief, You have struck again… STOP stealing my plants, they do not belong to you! The CCTV camera is now pointing in your direction, save yourself the embarrassment and please leave them alone. Lotti.”
