Bigger than Rolf Harris, Bigger than Jimmy Savile

Bigger than Rolf Harris, bigger than Jimmy Savile

A preview of tonight’s 60 Minutes documentary examining the British VIP paedophile scandal suggests it will be “Bigger than Rolf Harris, Bigger than Jimmy Savile” (and it’s not available to British viewers)

Finally, victims of British VIP paedophiles are having their stories told – but, unsurprisingly, they’re not being heard in Britain but instead in Australia where viewers of the 60 Minutes current affairs programme will tonight be able to watch a 30-minute feature on the scandal.

The programme claims to identify a scandal Bigger than Rolf Harris Bigger than Jimmy Savile
Alleged victim Richard Kerr is amongst those interviewed
Crusading MP Zac Goldsmith appears also appears in the programme

Made in cooperation with the London based investigative news source Exaro, a sneak preview suggests: “Britain’s biggest ever scandal is about to explode…. It’s bigger than Rolf Harris, it’s bigger than Jimmy Savile”.

In the 1:38 minute “sneak peek” amongst those featured are the crusading Conservative MP and wannabe Mayor of London Zac Goldsmith and alleged victims of what is described as a “terrible coverup” of “dark secrets of powerful men”.

Whilst one interviewee storms off set after suggesting: “If they were traumatised, they wouldn’t have gone along” and “I don’t think we should talk in this emotive fashion”, Exaro separately report that one alleged victim, Richard Kerr, will name the Conservative MP Sir Nicholas Fairburn, the deputy director of MI6 Sir Peter Hayman and the Liberal MP Sir Cyril Smith as his abusers.

Asked for comment, Kerr added:

“I am not here to try to prove it to [people who disbelieve his claims]. I am here to tell what happened to me, and I know what happened to me, and I know what happened to those other boys”.

Kerr also alleges that the MI5 officer turned Russian spy Sir Anthony Blunt, the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Harold Macmillan as Prime Minister Sir Knox Cunningham, the Chief of Defence Staff Lord Mountbatten and the Director of MI6 Sir Maurice Oldfield were all involved in the cover-up of the paeodphile network linked to the Kincora boys’ home in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He does not suggest that any of them were amongst the abusers, however.

Update: 2pm, Sunday 19th July 2015: The programme is now available to view online in three parts. To watch the first, click here. We suspect it will be banned in the UK so be sure to watch asap.
