A Diamond fundraiser

Diamond fundraiser

As Bob Diamond’s wife prepares to host a fundraiser for a Democratic candidate, we ponder whether his daughter will be tweeting about it

The Diamond family are people not afraid to put their heads above the parapet and on the 26th March, Bob Diamond’s wife Jennifer is making her political affiliations clear in hosting a fundraiser for PG Sittenfeld, a 30-year old member of the City Council of Cincinnati and aspiring U.S. Democratic Party senator.

To be held at the Central Park West home of Bob and Jennifer Diamond, the evening is described as a “Sittenfeld for Senate fundraiser… in support of U.S. senate candidate PG Sittenfeld”. Guests will also get to meet Sittenfeld’s mother, the New York Times best-selling author Curtis Sittenfeld.

It is not known if Mr and Mrs Diamond’s daughter Nell will attend but given her previous communications about her political views, it’ll be fascinating to see if she takes to Twitter on the night. In 2012, the daughter of the ex-Barclays boss tweeted in rage about her father’s ousting and stated: “George Osborne and Ed Milband you can go ahead and #HMD”. The insult is defined by the Urban Dictionary as an acronym for “hold my dick”.
