Faith Hill and Tim McGraw sell Tennessee farm
If you’re buying in London with a budget of £13 million, you could get a 4-bedroom apartment in Chesham Place, Belgravia. In Franklin, Tennessee for the same amount you’d get a lot more bang for your buck if you were to buy “country music power couple” Faith Hill and Tim McGraw’s 753 acre “weekend getaway”.
Marketed at $20 million, Bear Creek Farms at 4009 at Carters Creek Pike includes four residences and a 12-stall barn with a caretaker’s apartment. One, Beechwood Hall, constructed in the 1850s in the much loved antebellum style, is in need of renovation whilst another is a 3,300 square foot restored log cabin.
Hill and McGraw, whose primary residence is in Nashville, created the Williamson County farm by purchasing two separate properties approximately 12 years ago. According to tax records they paid Cal Turner III $5 million for 353 acres and Gerald Roberson $8.75 million for some 400 acres of land.
In November 2011, the property was the venue for a party to celebrate Hill’s return to the CMA stage with her single Come Home. As music executives and “industry types” mingled feasting on “bite-sized offerings of Southern-style cuisine”, dance tunes from the 1970s like Lady Marmalade and Good Times played.
Of the property, listing agent Steve Fridrich of Fridrich & Clark Realty commented:
“To find 750-plus acres in this type of location is a real find in itself… You have your privacy, but you can be minutes from Franklin”.
It’ll no doubt be rather heart wrenching for Hill and McGraw to Let It Go.
