Maserati originally owned by Sir Elton John to be auctioned
In 2005, Sir Elton John purchased a new 4.2-litre Maserati Quattroporte V for £80,000. He sold the car in 2010 and now that vehicle is to be auctioned by Classic Car Auctions for just £15,000 to £17,000.
Of the car, auctioneer Arwel Richards cheesily commented:
“This is a rare opportunity to buy an example of Italian exotica that goes like a rocket man. There’s something about the way this car looks at night, and the vendor should still be standing as he waves goodbye along the yellow brick road to the auction rostrum”.
“The list of extras is no sacrifice at all, including rear DVD player and screen, games input, two headphones, remote control and six CD autochanger”.
With 28,000 miles on the clock, the Maserati will be sold on 19th March at The Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, near Leamington Spa.
