A Glorious Roller

Rolls-Royce hunting vehicle for sale for £198,000

Today marks the start of the grouse season and whilst the BBC gave far too much airtime to those who are anti this fine sport, we very much join with those celebrating the Glorious Twelfth. Suitable for someone heading off to the moors is an amazing Rolls-Royce that was built as a hunting vehicle for the King of Morocco in 1980.

Based on a 1978 Rolls-Royce Camargue and altered by the eccentric Swiss designer Franco Sbarro, this one-off “custom falconry vehicle” includes a number of special features such as a custom panel that swings away to reveal a concealed, extendable platform on which the falconer can stand and an extendable support rod for the falcons. It’s electrically hinged windshield can also be moved to allow for unencumbered peripheral vision in the field whilst the doors have been replaced with bars that can be pushed away into the coach.

Midnight blue in colour with an orange Connolly leather interior, all standard Camargue features were retained. After modification the car cost £306,000 and is now for sale through German dealers Michael Fröhlich for £198,000.
