Devon home of Fortnum & Mason board member and scion of the Weston family for sale

Jana Khayat, a horse breeder, board member of Fortnum & Mason and scion of the billionaire Weston family, placed her Devon home on the market in September.

Oxford educated Khayat and her husband Antoine, Country Life’s Penny Churchill reports, bought “the most exciting small Devon country estate”, Ash House at Iddesleigh, near Winkleigh, in 2009 and spent 13 months renovating it.

Featuring accommodation extending to 16,054 square foot in total across five properties, of which 11,820 square foot is within the main house, the Grade II listed Georgian country property is described as having “grace and simplicity” and as being “extremely comfortable and manageable” by Churchill. Of it, selling agents Savills add: “When the occasion arises, the house can entertain on a grand scale”.

Standing in 125 acres of parkland, pasture and woodland, the building includes 4 reception rooms, 6 bedrooms suites and comes with a 4 bedroom annexe, a 1 bedroom apartment, a 3 bedroom gardener’s cottage and a 2 bedroom farm flat.

In addition and used for Mrs Khayat’s The Ash Stud business since 2010, the estate also includes an extensive range of farm buildings, stabling and an outdoor riding school. A 4-car garage, 65 foot long outdoor pool and a tennis court are also located within the grounds.

Ash House is being marketed with a guide price of £6 million ($7.4 million, €7 million or درهم‎‎27.3 million).
