You’re the Chip Paper

As a cousin of the 13th Duke of Argyll is revealed to be an escort, we suggest that there’s nothing new about it

This week, the Mail Online revealed Charlotte Colquhoun, the eldest daughter of Sir Malcolm Colquhoun Bt. and a cousin of Torquhil Campbell, 13th Duke of Argyll, to be an escort.

Charlotte Colquhoun AKA “Charlie Foxtrot”
Margaret, Duchess of Argyll (1912 – 1993)

Colquhoun’s entry as “Charlie Foxtrot” on the website Hereford Escorts has now been removed but given that the wife of the 11th Duke of Argyll was the equally promiscuous and highly notorious Margaret Campbell – who was even mentioned in Cole Porter’s song You’re the Top – illustration of nothing being new has again been provided.

Of the revelations, Sir Malcolm commented:

“She is a sad individual. She has a lot of problems and she only has herself to blame”.

Just the same was said of the “always vain” Margaret, Duchess of Argyll after images of her fellating a naked man and nude save for her signature three-strand pearl necklace were presented in her divorce case. In time, just the same will be said, no doubt, of other aristocrats and never, indeed, has the phrase: “Today’s news is tomorrow’s chip paper” been truer.
