Till death do us (not) part

House complete with previous owner comes to market in Teddington

House sales occasionally include unusual extras such as a flock of geese, cars and even an “emaciated spaniel” but with the launch of a Teddington, Middlesex house to the market, a buyer will also get the remains of two dead former owners.

The house needs complete renovation

For sale by informal tender through Curchods, the 1,744 square foot 19th century townhouse has a 50-foot garden and was originally built as a pub. It includes four double bedrooms and four bathrooms and is in need of renovation.

The burial, the agents reveal, was legal but if the ultimate purchaser wishes to extend the house, there is an option for exhumation. The cost would be some £7,000.
