The quest to indulge my beautiful children.

 

“Don’t get even, get medieval” is, in our humble opinion, a great motto. What’s yours?

Keep calm and drink gin.

 

Kerry Katona was considered unacceptable in 2007. Who or what is unacceptable in 2016?

Anyone who is trying too hard to be in the spotlight.

 

Tony Blair misses being Prime Minister. What do you miss most in your life?

“Me” time.

 

What might you swap all your wealth for?

Health.

 

Donald Trump was once a case of: “If you owe the bank a thousand, they close you down; but if you owe the bank a billion, you own the bank”. What’s your view on the banking crisis?

Greed is never good.

 

What phrase or word do you most loathe?

“Not a problem”. I would love a simple: “You are welcome”.

 

In the UK, some people consider charity to “begin at home”. What’s your view and what causes do you personally support?

The arts: I currently sit on the internationally renowned board for Art Papers.

 

The judge in Law Abiding Citizen states: “I can pretty much do whatever I want” before being blown up whilst answering her mobile phone. What’s your view on the appropriate use of such devices?

Never at the dinner table, please.

 

If you could fill a carriage on The Orient Express, who would be your fellow passengers?

Coco Chanel, Andy Warhol, Diana Vreeland, Mark Hampton and his witty daughter, Alexa, and my best friend and wife, Kim.

If you were unfortunate enough to end up on death row, what would be your last meal and where would you eat it?

Raw Irish oysters from the Oyster Bar at Harrods, my wife’s carrot cake and a gin-gin mule from Café Carlyle in New York.

 

What time is it acceptable to consume the first drink of the day?

As soon as you need one.

 

A Negroni, a martini or a cup of tea?

A Negroni and preferably one from the Spoon Bar in Sonoma, California.

 

Whose parties do you enjoy the most and why?

My own: My friends are always there and they like my cocktails and humour.

 

Who is the most positive person you know?

My wife.

 

What’s your most guilty pleasure?

It would have to be buying expensive shoes.

 

If a tattoo were to sum you up, what would it be of?

I hate tattoos.

 

If you were a car, what marque would you be?

A Range Rover during the day and a Bobby Ewing-style vintage Mercedes-Benz convertible at night.

I am currently obsessed with online auctions where I buy things for my retail store, Townhouse.

 

What’s currently sitting on your mantelpiece?

A vacation photo of San Francisco taken by my wife and two mid-century basalt vases by Wedgwood.
