Rich Covidiot Superspreaders

Rich Covidiot Superspreaders – COVID-19 stupidity by rich – As the ‘silly season’ begins, the überwealthy are getting out-of-hand in terms of behaving ridiculously; rich covidiots must learn to behave.

As the ‘silly season’ begins, the überwealthy are getting out-of-hand in terms of behaving ridiculously; rich covidiots must learn to behave suggests Matthew Steeples

Whilst ordinary people have been slated for mass gatherings in bars in Brighton and on beaches in Bournemouth, it seems the rich are taking lockdown lunacy to new levels.

This morning, the Guardian reported on “mass parties erupting” at mansions in Beverly Crest and on Mulholland Drive in California – a state where over 9,800 people have died of coronavirus. Speaking to the paper, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti remarked of the rich covidiots: “These large houses parties have essentially become nightclubs in the hills” and before rightly announcing he would cut off services to stop these “superspreader” events.

Further backing this up yesterday, Vanity Fair’s Stephanie Krikorian penned an article about “bidding wars” and “tears” in the Hamptons as a result of rich covidiots fighting it out over “quarantine mansions.”

Krikorian reported on the “überwealthy” hiring nightclub bouncers there to “prevent others from using their roads” to “protect residents’ health” and “compounding” – “buying two and even three seven- and eight-figure homes on the same street, grabbing up surrounding acres for family members” – to avoid others.

As coronavirus continues to affect us all, the wealthy are behaving  like petulant children in Britain also. With hedge fund managers and social media influencers taking over the affluent parts of the coastlines of Cornwall, Norfolk and Suffolk in England, we are starting to see the divide between the haves and the have nots grow here also. They are buying up the contents of shops, lauding it over locals and their behaviour has most definitely not been welcomed.

As P. J. O’Rourke once said: “The world is being run by irresponsible brats” and plainly this is sadly currently true both in Britain and America. Our respective ships of fools are out of control and it is now time we all learnt something else: Simple common sense and to behave with respect and decency. If these people don’t, as well as a second spike, another occurrence will arrive for the covidiot wealthy: The second coming of what very deservedly happened to Marie Antoinette.
