In the UK, some people consider charity to “begin at home”. What’s your view and what causes do you personally support?

I undertake a lot of ‘pro bono’ legal work for people but my wife is in charge of our wider charitable affairs. We don’t have one special charity although she is currently ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and we both assist and support many and varied local and national charities.

The judge in Law Abiding Citizen states: “I can pretty much do whatever I want” before being blown up whilst answering her mobile phone. What’s your view on the appropriate use of such devices?

It is not my world. I have a telephonist.
