Troubled Tories

Matthew Steeples suggests that the Conservatives should stop attacking one another and focus on getting out of the coalition

The Conservative Party needs to get its house in order instead of allowing in-fighting to dominate the headlines. The priority for David Cameron has to be ending their coalition with the wishy-washy Liberals, beating Labour and winning an overall majority.

Instead, the Tories currently find themselves in a dispute over the de-selection of the “silly little girl” Anne McIntosh in Thirsk and Malton and a fight over Tim Yeo being “snubbed by three top Conservatives” in Suffolk South. The Conservatives need to get a grip. Instead of giving UKIP an open goal, they need to ditch their petty squabbling and focus on getting Britain back on track.
