Linking Heath and Savile

Linking Heath and Savile - Jimmy Savile with Edward Heath in 1980

The links between Edward Heath and Jimmy Savile potentially run deeper than has been previously suggested; it is now time such claims were properly examined

When it was revealed that several police forces had begun investigations into allegations of sexual abuse by Edward Heath, spokespeople determinedly made clear that there was no link between the potential crimes of the former Prime Minister and those committed by the disgraced entertainer Jimmy Savile. Now, given new links between the pair have been revealed, these denials potentially could now be blown out of the water.

Until now, rumours relating to Heath and Savile having acted as paedophiles together were primarily perpetuated by a Eurosceptic barrister and conspiracy theorist named Michael Shrimpton. The author of Spyhunter: The Secret History of German Intelligence, Shrimpton was jailed in February for having made hoax phone calls suggesting the 2012 London Olympics were going to be “bombed by Nazi spies” and on that basis many dismissed this crank’s repeated claims over many years both online and in radio interviews that Heath and Savile holidayed together off Jersey on a yacht named ‘Morning Cloud’ as pure speculative nonsense.

Now, given that Savile’s own nephew, Guy Marsden, yesterday revealed that Heath met with Savile and another known millionaire paedophile, Peter “King Cornet” Jaconelli in Yorkshire on more than one occasion, the connections between the pair are starting to become clearer. Both Heath and Savile have been confirmed to have been visitors to the infamous Haut de la Garenne children’s home in Jersey on separate occasions and though it is not yet known if they were ever there at the same time, this is certainly worthy of investigation.

In his comments, Marsden also claimed that he was present when a friend of his was abused in the presence of both Heath and Savile at a “paedophile party” in central London in the 1970s. On that basis alone and to either confirm or bury once and for all this potentially huge scandal, it is truly time that a full-scale investigation into the links between Edward Heath and Jimmy Savile is finally conducted.
