Like father, like son

Proof that Prince Harry is Prince Charles’ son

It’s done the rounds for years. It’s a rumour that has failed to have been quashed and newspaper reporters have even tried to snatch pieces of his hair to test his DNA in their quest to prove it. This week, however, a photograph of Prince Harry convincingly proves that he’s the son of Prince Charles.

In a photograph taken in New York with Prime Minister David Cameron, Prince Harry’s grimace is a spitting image of those that his father regularly is snapped pulling.

For years the rumours of Prince Harry having been fathered by Princess Diana’s one-time lover, James Hewitt, have been shared by the media and on the Internet. I’ve personally spoken with Mr Hewitt about this long ago and he rightly denied it himself publicly in an interview with the Sunday Mirror:

There really is no possibility whatsoever that I am Harry’s father. I can absolutely assure you that I am not. “I can understand the interest but Harry was already walking by the time my relationship with Diana began. Admittedly the red hair is similar to mine and people say we look alike. I have never encouraged these comparisons and although I was with Diana for a long time I must state once and for all that I’m not Harry’s father. Looking at the pictures I have to say he’s a much more handsome chap than I ever was”.

That Hewitt and the Princess had not even met supposedly prior to Prince Harry’s birth has been largely ignored by the conspiracy theorists but now, for once and for all, this silly suggestion should be put to bed.
