Jo Brand certainly put her foot in the proverbial in making jokes about battery acid being a better thing to throw than milkshakes. Her remarks were indeed extremely ill-thought and show her as a childish woman desperate to get a laugh.
This comedian is certainly not someone I’d defend and she’s not someone I can admit to even having ever found funny, but that she pissed off that harbinger of angriness Nigel Farage is about the only thing that made me laugh. Equally, subsequently, that the failed-to-ever-win-a-seat-at-Westminster Brexit Party leader then demanded the “police need to act” simply shows him for what he is: A completely ridiculous hypocrite who himself has incited hatred towards foreigners.
Elsewhere, another failed politician in the form of the worst Home Secretary in history turned the worst Prime Minister in history, Theresa May, joined the braying mob and demanded the BBC explain why they deemed this “appropriate content for broadcast.” I’d suggest otherwise: Why on earth did they ever allow her to go on about running in wheat fields?
